This SHAPESCAPER Heavy Duty L-Profile Stake is 580mm long and is used to anchor Redcor steel garden edging firmly in the ground. It is recommended for 290mm edging, following the guide that a stake should be more than double the height of the edging profile.

The L-shaped profile gives extra fortification for broader, taller edging, making these stakes the go-to choice for demanding commercial and intensive applications. Like the rest of the SHAPESCAPER system, the stake has pre-drilled holes for quick, accurate fixing.

As a guide, use about three stakes per 2.4m length of edging at roughly 810mm intervals, or four for straight runs. Stakes are an essential part of the system and are matched to the edging height.

Selecting the right stake for your SHAPESCAPER® Steel Garden Edging System is vital. As a guiding principle, ensure your chosen stake's length exceeds double the height of your edging profile.

Stake Varieties:

  1. Ribbed Stakes: Offered in lengths of 230mm, 300mm, and 400mm, these stakes are best suited for edging profiles ranging between 75mm and 185mm in height. They provide optimal anchoring and reinforcement for most standard edging projects.

  2. Heavy Duty L Profile Stakes: These L-shaped stakes come in lengths of 450mm, 580mm, 780mm, and 1180mm, lending extra fortification to your edging. Designed specifically for broader profiles, they are the go-to for anchoring more demanding commercial and intensive applications.

Installation:

  • Use three stakes for every 2.4m steel length, positioned at roughly 810mm intervals.
  • For typical applications, place one stake in the middle and one at each end, approximately 400mm away from the connecting point.
  • For straight length installations, consider using four stakes per steel length.
  • All stakes are designed with pre-drilled holes, simplifying the installation process.
